Unfortunately these exercises are not only painful but can also damage your back in the process. Pilates abs is an exercise that is easy to perform. It is also pleasurable as it does not injure your back and you can see results as soon as in a month.

Pilates exercises are concentrated in working with your 'core', which are the muscles of your abdomen, back and pelvis in order to control the tone and shape of your other body parts. A Pilates abs workout is performed with every single workout you practice because Pilates works with the 'core' and that involves the abs. However there are specific Pilates abs exercises that you can practice also.

Pilates abs exercises are also popular because you can practice them without any pain and yet see results you desire in the shortest period of time. All Pilates exercises must be practiced regularly and as instructed otherwise results will take longer to appear.

The best thing is your abs will work out even when you are not doing a Pilates abs exercise because all Pilates exercises are done through and with the 'core'. That generally means that your abs are being worked out twice as much which in turn means you will have beautiful shapely abs twice as fast compared to doing other workouts.

Of all the exercise methods that are available today, Pilates can definitely be thought of being one of the best. With hundreds of thousands of people across the world who have tried Pilates, they are incredibly impressed by the results they see. The best thing about Pilates is that it combines methods that you could only get from completing several different exercise programs.

13 Ways for Maximizing Your Exercise Workout!

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Neelima Reddy

Every one has a busy schedule and we don't have time to workout. The first step in improving your health is finding the time to exercise. Doing the same workout over and over can get boring and are unlikely to see the improvements.

Here some of the ways to maximize your workout:

1. Be consistent:

Maintain consistent time for the exercise workout. Studies have shown that 60 minutes of workout is best. You can do at least 30 minutes of exercise to experience any benefits of weight loss in the beginning. Slowly you can increase the workout time if you become convenient with 30 minutes.

2. Maintain proper posture:

Maintain the proper posture during the workout to burn out the calories. Bad posture may lead to injuries and muscle pain. More importantly, bad posture prevents you from burning calories.

3. Be cautious:

If you are exercising for weight loss, consider weight bearing exercise. Non-weight bearing exercises like swimming and bicycling are not as efficient for weight loss.

4. Emphasize breathing:

During a cardio workout, check your breathing. During this workout, full breaths will deliver as much oxygen as possible to the working muscles, making them more efficient. When strength training, take full breaths during each exercise, exhaling on the exertion and inhaling as you release. You should never workout so hard that you can't talk or begin to faint.

5. Increase your intensity:

Starting with low intensity, you have to increase the intensity of workout regularly. If you are doing workouts with weights, add weights to your cardio routine and you can see the results in three to four weeks. You should feel difficult to talk to the person next to you, if you are doing with the ideal intensity.

This prevents you from measuring your pulse or heart-rate monitor. If you can talk to the person next to you comfortably, then it means you are not working hard enough. But you should not go beyond the limit in increasing the intensity of workout.

6. Start with walking if you are overweight:

If you are overweight, start your workout with walking as it is an excellent choice. Once you are fit with walking, you have to increase the intensity of walking.

7. Do not exercise on empty stomach:

You should not exercise with empty stomach. Your body will not workout efficiently with empty stomach as you may feel tired.

8. Listen to music:

Music is a great reliever. Music can make workout more fun and listening to music gives extra burst of energy to workout hardest.

9. Swimming:

Swimming is one of the best exercises working all the major muscles. But it exposes you to large amounts of chlorine which is present in most swimming pools. Select fresh water to swim.

10. Listen to your body:

If exercise worsens symptoms, change your workout program or if needed; stop doing. As your health and energy improve, you will be able to tolerate larger amounts of aerobic exercise.

11. Stretches:

Apart from the aerobic exercises and other exercises, stretching is important for getting more out of your workout. Stretching assists in muscle recovery from strenuous workouts and can prevent pain and discomfort. Your entire body feels more comfortable when you have strong and flexible muscles.

12. Exercise at right time:

Exercise when you have the most energy rather than working at a time when you are exhausted completely. Work with your body's natural energy levels.

13. Drink plenty of water:

Water helps you lose weight. It helps fill your stomach to stop your hunger. Your entire body slows down and works less efficiently when your body becomes dehydrated. It is important to replace the lost water after a workout as working out causes dehydration.

Every one run short on time these days but by following one or more of these simple ways, you can maximize your workout time.

Diet for the Diabetic

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Jeff Patterson

Anyone who has diabetes or has seen a diabetic from close quarters would agree that diabetes is truly a silent killer. Most people become drug or insulin dependent during the early stages of the disease, and the main reason for this is that it can slowly grow in you and damage many functions of other vital organs, before you even know that you have developed diabetes. Yet both oral anti-diabetes drugs and insulin are not very health-friendly solutions for the disease. They speed up the process of aging, damage your liver, heart and other organs and if neglected, can pave the way for many other serious health complications.

Did you know that diabetes can be controlled if not completely cured by bringing about many lifestyle changes as well as changes in your diet? Ask any diabetic specialist and the doctor would ask you to do rigorous and regular physical exercise, stop smoking and alcohol and eat the right kind of food. So essentially what you are doing is addressing the root cause of diabetes to reverse the situation and enhance your body's own insulin production as naturally as possible, with out the help of drugs and other medication which may only perpetuate the condition. When making a diet plan for a diabetic, doing away with foods which promote or support diabetes is critically important. These include refined carbohydrates like white flour, rice, bread and pasta, corn syrup, mayonnaise, processed food and oils etc.

To counter diabetes it is also important to know why it affects us in the first place. If we continue to consume food rich in carbohydrates, fats and starches and avoid burning out calories through physical exercise, we will gradually gain weight and the body's capacity of producing adequate insulin would decrease with time. As the body tissues become more exposed to excessive insulin, we develop what in medical terms is called 'insulin resistance', a condition where the body tissues have absorbed all the insulin they can retain. This syndrome usually leads to diabetes. Incidentally, 17 million Americans, nearly 7.3 percent of the population are diabetic with an astounding 33 percent rise in the prevalence of the disease between 1990 and 1999.

So to combat or live with disease and keep it under check, it is vitally important to do regular exercise and eat foods which are rich in vitamins and minerals rather than foods which are rich in fats, carbohydrates and low in fibers. Include a lot of boiled vegetables in your diet as well as fruits and vegetables, walk regularly and try to burn as much calories as your body needs, reduce body weight to bring it down to optimal and you can either get diabetes out of your system or live with it happily ever after. At least, you can reduce the quantity of medications or even reduce your insulin dependence.

When a family history of depression gets you down

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Jennifer B. Baxt, LMFT, LMHC

It is not uncommon for a family to have a history of depression. There are many cases where an individual who is suffering from depression does not appear to have an actual reason for suffering the depression. This is where this person's family history can help them out. There are some people who appear to be genetically depressed, meaning that their family history shows that previous generations appear to have suffered the same problems. Genetic depression is still far from being fully understood. Studies are still being done in order to understand how genetic depression is passed down and how it can be treated in people before it becomes a real problem.

Having a family history of depression does not necessarily mean that the person will suffer depression, though if a person does worry that they might have depression it might not hurt to consult a therapist or counselor about it. It is possible for a person to be a little anxious over the idea that they might slump into a depression that can ruin their lives as it possibly did for their parent and/or grandparent. The therapist or counselor will help the patient see that worry about such a thing will only bring about needless anxiety that will only put the person through unnecessary stress. This stress can build and can quite possibly eventually lead to an onset of depression. The person who worries can also consult an online therapist or an online counselor and ask the professional questions regarding what is worrying them. The online therapist or counselor can then calm the patient's fears about them possibly having depression. Suggestions and/or advice might be given that can aid the person in trying to avoid falling into a state of depression, how to calm down and how to deal with the stresses in their lives before the stresses get to much.

Anyone who has a family that has a history of depression does not necessarily mean that the individual will ultimately suffer depression. It does, however, show that the person might have an increased risk of developing depression at some time in their life. With the knowledge about their family history, they can start finding ways to avoid depression early in their life. A therapist or a counselor can help the person learn how to deal with the stresses of everyday life, their anxiety and any depression they might be experiencing already. Doing this can give the person a better chance of warding off serious or deep depression that they might develop later in life if they didn't take measures to prevent it. Expecting it and preparing for it can actually help the person focus on taking control of their life and putting more effort into making the life they want. Being more optimistic and happy can go a long way to helping the person avoid falling into depression. Early help from a therapist or counselor, whether it is online therapy or therapy in person, can also help a person prepare for their life and keep out the stresses and/or anxieties that can push them into depression.

The Great Cardio Myth

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Dax Moy

Have you ever stopped to think about WHY you work out the way you do?

If you're like most people you've probably just fallen into the rut of doing the same things from workout to workout with little consideration for WHY you're doing them. For example; most people are presented with a basic programme when they join a gym and follow it blindly for weeks, months or even years without ever taking the time to think about whether or not the programme is right for their own particular requirements.

No wonder so few people achieve the results they desire from their training... they don't even know what their exercises are supposed to do!

It's this simple; exercises are like tools. If you choose the wrong tool to achieve the goals then it'll take you longer to get there, if you ever get there at all! It's like trying to drill a hole using a hammer, it just doesn't make sense... and neither do most peoples workouts.

A prime example of using the wrong tool can be seen if we look at the common approach to cardiovascular training (CVT).

Most women incorporate CVT into their programmes primarily as a method of weight control and body fat reduction. Using all manner of methods from rowers to steppers, treadmills to bikes and cross-trainers to 'aerobics' classes, women in gyms up and down the country, and indeed the world, can be found spending a disproportionate amount of their total training time on exercises that... ...wait for it... ...may actually be making them fatter!

That's right, it's not a typo. The much hailed panacea of aerobic training can actually contribute to making women (and men too) proportionately fatter than before they started training.

Talk about using the wrong tool! We're basically 180 degrees out of phase with our intentions when we train this way.

You see, the way the human body works is paradoxically simple yet complicated at the same time. The simple part of the energy system equation tells us that exercises that are performed at a lower intensity use fat as the primary fuel source and oxygen as a catalyst. Indeed, the very term 'aerobic' means 'with oxygen'. By definition these activities are less taxing and are able to be sustained for longer, almost indefinite periods of time. For example, as you sit there reading this article you're predominantly using your aerobic system.

So, that was the easy bit. Aerobic = low intensity fat burning. Sounds ok doesn't it?

Well, consider this (This is the complex, sciency bit, but bear with it, it's important).

The longer we engage in higher level aerobic activities such as those typically included in a workout, the more we secrete a nasty little group of hormones called 'glucocorticoids', with the stress hormone 'cortisol' chief amongst them. One of the lesser known qualities of cortisol is that it is catabolic in nature, meaning that it breaks down muscle tissue along with fat in order to metabolise this stored energy for immediate fuel.

Why is this bad?

Well, it's our muscles that give shape and definition to our bodies. If we lose muscle faster than we lose fat then proportionately we're fatter... even if the scales tell us we're several pounds lighter! In a society that places a higher priority on what we weigh, this is a difficult concept to grasp but nevertheless it's true just the same.

Total weight is no indicator of how fat you are just as total weight lost during a diet is no indicator of the effectiveness of the diet. They are merely measurements of total mass regardless of what that mass is made from.

Another point to bear in mind is that it is primarily our lean tissues, our muscles, that burn the fuel that we eat in order to create movement. Therefore, any loss of muscle tissue means that our metabolism will slow down. The exact opposite of what we need if we're trying to lose body-fat!

So what's the answer? Am I saying that CV exercise is 'Bad'?

No, far from it!

Cardiovascular training is extremely beneficial in maintaining a healthy heart, preventing disease and keeping surplus body-fat at bay, but considering many of the drawbacks of the current over-emphasis on aerobic training, I'd strongly recommend giving 'anaerobics' a try.

What are anaerobics?

Basically, the opposite of aerobics, these are activities that are carried out 'without oxygen' [Note: we're never truly without oxygen, just that oxygen cannot meet the demand of the activity] and involve higher intensity, shorter duration bursts of activity to produce the training effect.

The benefits of this type of training include: Higher calorie consumption Anabolic in nature - Meaning that it promotes lean tissue. Increases metabolism Shorter, more effective workouts

You can incorporate anaerobic activities into your workout simply enough just by increasing your intensity during your training. Instead of 15 minutes of steady-paced (and mind-numbing) aerobic work, try the following:

5 bursts of high level (80% or more of your top effort) for 2-3 minutes duration.

Rest completely between each effort.

40/20 splits.

Go all out for 20 seconds and then recover for 40 secs. Repeat 5 times.

Sprints.

Go as far and as fast as you can for 1 minute. Rest totally in between sets and then repeat sprints 5 times.

As you can see, anaerobic training is characterised by a high intensity of effort. If you can hold a conversation during or immediately after the activity then you didn't come out of your aerobic zone and may need to put forward a little more effort.

There you have it. Probably the most effective, yet least utilised, fat loss method there is. Give anaerobics a try, I mean a fair try and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve in a relatively short period of time. The results of training this way can be quite spectacular.

You're thinking it sounds hard aren't you?

Well, you're right. It is hard. I never said it'd be easy did I? But if you want the results...

How Is Aromatherapy Massage Broken Down?

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Michael Selvon

Everyone should have at least one aromatherapy massage sometime in their life. You have the wonderful feeling of tense muscles becoming relaxed, while soothing or revitalizing massage oils are spread onto the body. The incredible aroma permeates the nostrils and goes straight to the brain.

You can feel the tension, no matter what essential oil is used, flow right out of the body. It is a feeling like none other and is one that many people find addicting.

Most aromatherapy massages take place in a spa. The session begins with you undressing and being draped with towels to cover any areas not being treated by the rubdown. The masseuse will combine essential oil with base oil in order to produce aromatic oil which will be used during the session.

Different aromatherapy essential oils include: lavender, vanilla, peppermint, eucalyptus and sandalwood. The base oil may be grapeseed oil, apricot oil or almond oil. The masseuse will probably not use any body lotions, as these have a tendency to wear off quickly during a massage. Oil is the preferred medium with which to work their magic.

So why do aromatherapy essential oils work? Your brain has olfactory sensors that go off when you smell something. If you smell something displeasing to you, then your body will react to that smell by causing you to back away or become upset.

There are scents occurring in nature that cause your brain to release different chemicals in response to their aroma. Take for example peppermint. Peppermint essential oil is considered to be an energizing scent. The brain becomes more active and awake when smelling peppermint.

Aromatherapy oil is different from a perfume or fragrant oil used in your home to scent a room. You must know the differences if you are going to be the one giving out the massage or you are making your own essential oil for an aromatherapy massage.

A perfume is a chemical process that includes alcohol and other manmade chemicals. You want to use oils that are made from plants because they have been crushed and processed specifically for use on the skin.

What are you waiting for? Go find some peace and tranquility through an aromatherapy massage. Your body will delight in the sensation of basking in a particular essential oil. The deep tissue massage will feel incredible on your muscles.

You deserve this treat so pamper yourself in some aromatic luxury. When you are done, you may want to schedule future massage services before you leave the salon.

A whole world of information about aromatherapy massage oil eagerly awaits you from Mike Selvon portal. We appreciate your feedback at our massage blog.

The Wonders Of What The Pilates Equipment Can Do For You

by Cindy Heller

If you practice Pilates and you are ready to try other Pilates equipment, read on for the various purposes these equipment serve.

1) The Cadillac

The Cadillac is one of the most commonly used types of these Pilates machines. You can usually find the Cadillac at any of your local fitness stores. This Pilates apparatus uses that of variable-length and gauge springs to lengthen and strengthen a person's muscles all at the same time and to improve that of joint flexibility and range of motion.

2) The aero Pilates treadmill is one of the best and perhaps the most versatile type of treadmill which will enable you to carry out some 50 plus Pilates exercises effortlessly.

There are many reasons that make the aero Pilates machine exceptional:

(i) it has padded jump-board which is easy on the joints when practicing the exercises,

(ii) the machine is created to stay about 10 inches off the floor which helps in the performances of advanced Pilate exercises,

(iii) it offers a total and highly efficient cardio-vascular workout,

(iv) it has four levels of elastic chords for four different levels of workout, and

(v) it supports 50 Pilates exercises which can tone, strengthen and shape every muscle in the body.

The aero Pilates also has an extremely strong stainless steel body, with adjustable headset. The machine has also extra shoulder pads installed.

3) The Pilates studio reformer is the first choice of professionals since 1976. It provides the smoothest and quietest ride of other similar product on the market. The Pilates reformer should be comfortable and have good craftsmanship with every edge being sculpted and smooth. In addition, it is also possible to design one's own reformer by choosing from the many innovative footbar and springbar systems that are easily adjustable and which also very much reduces the interruptions to a workout.

4) There is other Pilates equipment such as the Pilates trapeze tables, half trapezes and towers which provide the best in spring-assisted, integrated Pilates workouts. There are many different exercises that can be performed on these Pilates trapeze tables and there is even the Five-in-one exercise system called the Allegro Tower and Reformer which includes two mat stations, a Half Trapeze and the integrated Tower and moving carriage system.

The Allegro Tower of Power features consist of the expandable 5-in-one exercise system that enables the exerciser to start with the Allegro Reformer and may also include the Tower, if so required. It also retrofits any Allegro and the simple mat conversion enables the exerciser to move the carriage to the head of the machine and also drop in the mat.

5) The Pilates chair is another Pilates equipment which is the most ideal for space-saving Pilates. It also has with wheels that enable easy movement. These Pilates chair has been intended to allow stretching and strengthening of the muscle groups that cannot be easily accessed by conventional training and equipment. The Pilates chair has evolved from the Wunda Chair system with the padded split step giving extra dimension of rotational and reciprocal movement of the extremities. It is also most suited for use at the end of a Trapeze table.

Where Do You Go To Own A Pilates Equipment

If you are wondering as to where you can go to find a Pilates equipment, you should be able to find all the different machines at your local fitness store or gym, and if you know a place that caters exclusively to the matter of Pilates, then you should check there first.

Alternatively you could go to a fitness center and ask one of the fitness professionals there where you can go to purchase the Pilates equipment. In addition, you should not have to pay an insanely high price for one of these machines, as you can also find them at discounted prices from companies that are selling them wholesale.

However, you should also be aware that it can be dangerous to buy a device that is used. It is more advisable to spend a bit of extra money to get a brand new one as opposed to risking your health by purchasing a used one.

The first choice before beginning any research is of course to look it up on the internet. Find a reliable website for your information and you should be prepared to ask any questions before owning a Pilates equipment.

Sciatica Exercises

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Dr. George Best

Sciatica exercises are extremely important to the long-term relief and management of disc-related sciatica. Although a number of different exercises for sciatica are recommended by various experts and non-experts alike, only a few are actually appropriate during an acute, severely painful sciatica episode, and some of the most commonly-suggested sciatica exercises may actually make things worse when used during times of acute pain.

For example, while commonly recommended to people with sciatica, exercises such as hamstring stretches and the yoga position, "downward facing dog" can be beneficial as part of managing one's condition once the pain is reduced, these exercises can place tension on the sciatic nerve and aggravate an already inflamed and sensitive condition. In general, any exercise that causes pain to increase in the leg and/or extend further down the leg should be completely avoided during the acute phase of sciatica.

During the acute phase of sciatica pain, McKenzie exercises provide one of the best and safest treatment approaches available - more effective than medication and epidural steroid injections in many people. Though often associated with spinal extension and mistakenly called the "McKenzie Extension Exercises", McKenzie method may involve any number of spinal positions/movements. The underlying principle of the McKenzie technique is to test various positions and exercises to determine what will create the most "centralization" of the pain and other symptoms.

"Centralization" is a term used by McKenzie practitioners that means that symptoms move out of the areas furthest from the spine. For example, if you had sciatica that went all the way to the foot, centralization would be if the symptoms left the foot and perhaps only went as far down as the knee. Or, if sciatica symptoms started out going as far as the knee, centralization would be if the symptoms left the thigh and only went as far as the hip area.

A position or exercise that results in symptom centralization is one that will be beneficial, even in situations where symptoms increase for a time in areas closer to the spine. For example, if you had sciatica and low back pain and tried one of of the McKenzie exercises and the sciatica completely went away but the back pain got worse, the exercise would still be considered beneficial and it would be recommended to continue using it. In the long run, a sciatica exercise that produces centralization will usually eventually result in improvement in all symptoms, even if more central (closer to the spine) symptoms get worse at first.

The simplest of the McKenzie exercises for alleviating sciatica is done by simply lying on one's stomach on the floor or a firm surface and propping one's chest up on the elbows. This position puts the lumbar spine into an extended position, which may reduce sciatica by squeezing bulging disc material further forward and away from the spinal nerves that compose the sciatica nerve, thereby resulting in reduced compression and inflammation. Although you can maintain this position for relatively long periods of time, I recommend doing it for short periods of one or two minutes with a rest break of at least a few minutes in between. Taking short, frequent breaks keeps the lumbar musculature from getting tight, but still allows enough time to get good results in the majority of cases. To learn additional, more complicated sciatica exercises, it is advisable to either get an illustrated guide book or to work with an experienced health care practitioner.

Dr. George Best has been treating sciatica patients since 1991. For a free e-book on exercises and self-treatment, including detailed instructions on the McKenzie exercises, visit his Sciatica Exercises website. In addition to the free e-book, you'll also receive a free series of videos about Sciatica, and the treatments for it.

Anxiety And Panic Attacks Ruining Your Life

by yourkidsshop

Anxiety and panic attacks terms are used interchangeably so often that they have come to be regarded as the same thing. Panic attacks and anxiety are related phenomena, and the symptoms of a panic attack may include hyperventilation.

Anxiety and panic attacks are horrifying experiences and are much more common than sufferers think. Depending on what research you read they either strike more than 10 million people or affect as many as 15% of all adults. Whichever figure you look at though, I am sure you will agree it is a massive problem affecting women more often than men.

Anxiety and Panic disorders becomes classified as a mental illness when the condition causes enough distress to reduce ones ability to function socially, occupationally, or psychologically. During a panic attack, unless you were medically educated, you might think you were having a heart attack, or some other form of medical crisis. Although when they get to this level they are both considered psychiatric conditions, they can be the easiest of all to treat and in most cases are highly treatable. Anxiety and panic attacks are an emotional and physical reaction to a threat, whether that threat is real or perceived. The attacks are often associated with shallow, rapid patterns of breathing and can respond to muscle relaxation techniques and breathing exercises that form a part of many complementary therapies.

It doesn't matter from what walk of life you come from anxiety and panic attacks are non discriminatory and they appear in situations where your usual skills and talents seem to make no difference, so telling yourself to calm down, doesn't work that well. The attacks seem to be self-perpetuating and they need prompt and effective intervention. Although anxiety and panic attacks are similar, panic attacks are more high pitched than anxiety.

Anxiety and panic attacks are very frightening and very real to the person suffering the attack and no matter what anybody says they are medical conditions as real to the person as if they were suffering from heart disease. Although they are very scary once you stop letting the fears take over, you'll feel more in control. Which is the first step in recovery. You may be particularly vulnerable to anxiety and panic attacks if you are suffering from medical conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease, severe pain or medical obesity.

Symptoms can include but are not limited to are: Rapid heart beat, palpitations (awareness of your heart beating), raised blood pressure feeling of tightness in the chest, breathlessness and hyperventilation (rapid, shallow breathing) sweating, pallor, chest pains, feelings of light-headedness and dizziness. Shaking and trembling pins and needles (caused by hyperventilation) usually in hands or feet. Feeling of intense fear and/or impending doom headaches and muscular aches and pains. Insomnia, irritability, nightmares fatigue digestive disturbances, e.g., abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea and/or vomiting. Feeling cut off from yourself and other people, fear of dying, desensitization, depersonalization, feeling of unreality, depression, numbness and difficulty falling or staying asleep. symptoms of panic attacks, feelings of unreality, bodily sensations, body muscles, nausea and diarrhoea, natural instinct, flight reaction, derealisation, muscle tension, abdominal distress, tightness in chest, pounding heart,

Anxiety and panic attacks are a relatively short period of very intense fear and can start with an unpleasant feeling in the throat and a sudden shortness of breath. Anxiety and panic attacks usually last for 10 minutes but more severe attacks may last up to two hours. They may be part of an underlying anxiety disorder such as phobias (irrational fear of, for example, crowds or open spaces), obsessive compulsive disorder (recurrent thoughts and repetitive behaviour), post-traumatic stress, depression or other psychological problems. Or anxiety can come about as a result of pressure at work, in school, at home or even when having a major event or change in your life like death of loved one or divorce.

Anxiety and panic attacks are disorders and although you might be able to put a quick fix together during attacks it is important that you find treatment to free yourself from this disorder and eliminate anxiety and panic attacks permanently. Anxiety medication may not work as it may mask the symptoms and when you stop taking the medication the attacks generally flare back up again. Ultimately because anxiety medication is superficial, it doesn't treat the root cause of your anxiety.

The Most Common Skin Disease – Acne

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by bjhowell

Acne is a skin disease and it is probably the most common one seen by doctors. While there are numerous technical definitions of acne containing many medical and biological terms, simply put acne develops as a result of blockages in hair follicles. Research indicates that males are more often inflicted but females worry about it more.

Numerous factors have been linked to the development of acne. Some of which include:
• Genetic history – tendency to run in families
• Hormonal activity – menstrual cycles, puberty
• Stress – increased output of hormones from the adrenal glands
• Accumulation of dead skin cells
• Bacteria in the pores
• Use of antibiotic steroids

This is a short list that represents the most common causes identified by researchers. It is extremely important to note that acne is not caused by dirt. This misconception probably arises from the fact that acne does produce blackheads which look like dirt stuck in the openings of the pores in the skin. The black color is actually oxidized keratin and the blockages of keratin that cause acne occur deep within the hair follicle where it is impossible to wash them away.

While the physical scarring of acne is obvious to all who see it the emotional and social impact often goes undetected by non-sufferers. Those inflicted with acne are often dissatisfied with their appearance, embarrassed and are very self-conscious. They lack the self-esteem to promote themselves publicly and will avoid social gatherings and public places.

Research shows that acne sufferers are more prone to mental disorders such as anxiety, depression and social withdrawal. In extreme cases a person suffering from acne will develop Acne Dysmorphia, a phobia where one develops an obsessive fear of having irregular and scarred skin. This is characterized by continuous skin washing and constantly checking the skin for flaws and imperfections. This condition can continue throughout life long after the original acne problem has been treated and cleared.

Despite its negative impact acne can be successfully treated. There are numerous treatments available ranging from diet-based treatments and holistic approaches to medicinal creams and washes. Most treatments work to some degree and I found it to be a system of trial and error to determine which treatment worked the best. Personally, I found the natural approaches the best but regardless of your treatment choice it is very important to remember never to use more than one treatment at a time and for best results always follow instructions. If you use the treatment consistently and as directed you will see results.

Learning To Live Again With Congestive Heart Failure

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

Congestive heart failure, as well as all the risks that go along with it, can be a terrifying prospect for any man, woman or child. The affect of a heart, the body's central tool for survival, no longer performing may appear like the very beginning of the end. The nice news is, by establishing an effective treatment plan with your cardiologist the prognosis, and the chances for you to lead a typical life, grow exponentially.

Congestive heart failure starts while the heart can no longer efficiently pump blood through the body. The blood pools, and whilst organs are poor of vital, life conveying oxygen and nutrients the excess sodium that would ordinarily be excreted in the urine builds up in the tissues, resulting in fluid retention that leads to to organ tension and the dyspnea that is so typical in cases of congestive heart failure. Left untreated, the oxygen impoverished organs will in time cease to work and the patient will die.

Fortunately, there are now innumerable ways to contend against the mortality aspect allied with heart failure. Doctors can prescribe medications to promote the flow of blood all through the body and take some of the pressure off the heart; blood thinners can decrease the chances of clots forming in the veins. Leaving out medicinal means, there are many and various factors that may be altered in your lifestyle to influence the prognosis of your disease.

It is of vital importance that the body be allowed adequate time to take a rest during the day. While at ease the heart can more readily pump blood around the body; just as you would relax an injured leg when it began to hurt, you ought to take it easy your heart also. On the flip side, it is significant to establish an every day work-out routine. It doesn't have to be three hours of aerobics; a half hour walk every day would carry a greater impact on your physical being than nothing whatever. Sit down together with your medical practitioner to find the course of action that works best for your individual circumstances.

As well as a course of action you must work with your attending physician to find the best diet format for you. In most cases a low sodium diet is recommended to help lower fluid retention. Diuretics can significantly affect the levels of potassium in the body causing hypokalemia, which can lead to muscle weakness, paralysis and a fatal cardiac arrhythmia; therefore, very often if you been prescribed a diuretic a daily a potassium supplement will also be given

Nicotine can bring forth a serious issue for patients with heart failure. It increases the heart rate and blood pressure while having a detrimental affect on the oxygen level in the blood. All of these things cause the heart to function harder. It is strongly recommended that if you have been diagnosed with congestiveheart failure you withdraw from smoking completely.

Hand in glove with smoking are the intrinsic dangers associated with contracting a case of pneumonia or flu. If you are able you had better lay hands on an yearly flu shot, as well as the one time dose of pneumococcal vaccine. This will provide some level of protection against pneumococci bacteria, the major source of bacterial pneumonia. Pneumonia is an issue for the same reasons as smoking; the decreased oxygen levels in the blood make the heart work harder in an attempt to compensate and get oxygen to the organs and tissues. If possible, steer clear of crowded areas during cold and flu season, and stay away from people you understand are affected

Amazingly, something as simple as the clothes you wear can impact your condition if you have suffered congestive heart failure. Tight clothing can be the cause of blood clots and restrict blood flow to the extremities. In addition, in cases of excessive temperature your clothes ought to be weather appropriate; if the body has to function harder to uphold its temperature the heart will have to work so much more.

Sexual relations can on the whole be continued as before; yet, they should occur in as peaceful an environment as is possible to ward off any undue pressure. If your condition is severe it is significant that you talk over this with your family doctor; it may be important to forego sexual relations for a time in favor of other, less tiring shows of affection.

Each and every one of these steps will help you continue to live much as you did prior to being diagnosed. Congestive heart failure will certainly influence your life; it is entirely up to you how much.

Mark has suffered with a congestive heart problem since 1994 and is now severely disabled. He now maintains a website for anyone who wants information on congestive heart problems. More informative articles on Heart Disease are available here

Landice Treadmill Reviews

Subscribe in a Reader

DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

by Robin OBrien

Few of us have the budget to spend around $4,000 on a treadmill. But, if you're one of the lucky few, a Landice treadmill should be on your list of treadmills. To help you decide, here are some trade and consumer Landice Treadmill reviews and ratings.

Landice have been making treadmills - and only treadmills - for over 35 years. Very few other sports equipment manufacturers can claim to only specialize in one type of machine. And, few can match Landice treadmills, in terms of build quality, performance and prestige.

What makes a Landice treadmill one of the best on the market is because its philosophy seems to be to put excellent parts into its treadmills keeping the design very simple.

However, let's first explain the different models of Landice treadmills. Landice treadmills come in two main types: the LTD (Light Commercial) is designed as a residential treadmill whereas the Club (Full Commercial) treadmill is meant for fitness clubs.

These two models come in three designs; Pro Sports Trainer, Cardio Trainer and Executive Trainer. The only difference between them, apart from price, is the display. The Pro Sports Trainer has a very basic display, while the display on the Executive is awesome.

There are three models of treadmill from Landice; the L7, L8 and L9.

The L7 model is available in the LTD (Light Commercial) and Club (Full Commercial) versions.

The L8 model is available in the LTD (Light Commercial) version only.

The L9 model is available in the Club (Full Commercial) version only.

There are not many trade or customer reviews of Landice Treadmill on the web. However, I've managed to find the following.

These comments are from epinions.com and are of customers who actually bought and used a Landice L7 treadmill.

'This is the best treadmill; you would find it in your local health club. With a lifetime warranty you might never buy another one. I love it!'

'A lot of money but also a lot of treadmill. I'd buy it again.'

'After testing many treadmills, the Landice L7 seems to be very well constructed, stable and durable. It has the cushioning that will keep the workout at minimal body impact. The tread-belt movement and incline elevation are very functional, quiet and smooth.'

'The Landice L7 Sport Pro Trainer is the ideal treadmill for runners. It doesn't come with a lot of bells and whistles, but it outperforms all the others where counts...quality and mechanics.'

This comment comes from a review on treadmillsensei.com - a site owned by a guy with over 20 years experience in the treadmill industry.

'when you run on the Landice L7 Pro Sport you will see no shake in the uprights or console, and you'll find the frame and base to be the most sturdy you've ever run on…..[Landice treadmills] are like tanks...if tanks were designed and built by BMW that is.'

Finally, we have this comment from The Treadmill Doctor.

'Unless you can get a great deal on another treadmill in this price range, Landice is the way to go.'

All of the above comments were in praise of Landice treadmills, but what about negative comment? Are there any? Well, yes there is and they nearly all have to do with the warranty. Landice treadmills do come with one of the best warranties in the industry, but many complain about the disclaimers and loopholes. Read this comment from epinions.com for example.

'As a company and as to their company policies, Landice has proved itself to be operating in a very deceptive manner, selling through dealers who do not disclose Landice's policies and then totally failing to honor their commitments as stated on their dealer's disclosures. I would not do business with either Landice or any dealer selling Landice products ever again'

Reviews of Landice treadmill are general very positive about quality and performance and the overall rating of Landice treadmills is exceptionally high. However, there are major concerns from customers about the lifetime warranty offered by Landice. My advice is to make absolutely sure you read the guarantee policy and insist that the authorized dealer explains all the warranty requirements to you so that you are fully what you'll actually be covered for.

But, if you don't get any problems soon after installation, you'll probably have years of trouble-free use from your Landice treadmill. My overall rating of the Landice treadmill is 4.5 out of 5.

Follow the links for the Landice Treadmill plus treadmill ratings on major brands like the Trimline Treadmill.

Abs Workout Exercise And Diet

PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS ARTICLE

If you want rock hard visible rock hard abs diet abs workouts and exercises alone will not do it. You have probably already tried the latest ab gadgets, ab pills or burning pills and have yet to see results but feel like failure trying to reach that goal. No matter how hard you try the truth is you may never see real results.

Ab diets and workouts are effective in building up stronger gut muscles and back muscles and may help reduce some fat. Spot burning or trying to reduce flab or fat on one area of the body with one specific exercise such as sit ups or gut crunches is just a myth and many fad gadgets usually focus on one group of muscles. Focusing on one group of muscles may add strength and tone. The truth is that if you have washboard abs and you have a layer of tummy fat or love handles no one will ever see those ripped abs.

You really need to focus on reducing your overall body fat thus reducing the fat around your waist if you want to see visible rock hard washboard chiseled abs. The typical diet can sabotage your goal if it is not tailored to you or it is not low fat. To lose weight takes a whole approach and this includes eating more whole foods, avoiding fats, avoiding lots of processed foods. A good weight loss diet plan will not be too extreme but will usually get you back to the major food groups. This can sound difficult but with the right knowledge and training it makes it easier to achieve sexy flat abs.

There are certain things to seriously consider in a workout regimen and you want to seriously consider the following about overall body fat. The ideal body fat for a health male adult is about 10 - 12%. The ideal body fat for a healthy female adult 14 – 16%. BMI is usually an indicator of health and is computed using charts that are based on age, height and current body weight. Even if your body weight falls within your BMI or Body Mass Index it is still possible that you may not fall within the guidelines of body fat mentioned above. A really extreme athlete may not even apply to a BMI chart and it may also depend on the sport. It really is unique to each individual. But if your close to your BMI then closer to desired body fat you are close to achieving your goal of flat hard washboard abs.

If you have the knowledge from a personal trainer you can always do your ab exercises from home or while your on the road. An active maintenance routine to stay fit is usually 3-4 days a week and depending on how aerobic the activity is. It can also pay to have a personal trainer but it can be costly and time consuming to have to always do your ab workout at the gym. If pays to get knowledge about health and fitness. Some products over deliver and this is because they have usually been around for a while and have shown that they deliver desired results when applied.

Treating Dry Hair With Natural Oils

Subscribe in a Reader

Keeping your hair moisturized is critical! When it comes to women of color, especially Black or Biracial women, hair tends to be naturally dry and sometimes brittle. Dry hair leads to breakage from the hair shaft. Split ends are a result of dry and damaged hair cells. Many times the relaxing process, which involves harsh and damaging chemicals aid in drying your hair out and leaving you with a head of hair that resembles a bail of hay. How do you stimulate and encourage the healing and repair process of your hair naturally? Follow these tips to begin the process and keep it going to see a healthy head of beautiful, shiny, and silky hair.

Before you begin to moisturize and restore vital oils for your hair, you need to avoid or take a break from chemical relaxers. I know that this seems somewhat impossible for some women, but know that there are some styles that you can consider while you are transitioning. Many women that set out to just take a breather from relaxers end up going natural. The one thing that will restore moisture is to eliminate the chemical inducing damage that you are exposing your hair shafts to. Consider wearing the wavy look that you can achieve by just washing and thoroughly condition and allowing your hair to air dry. While your hair is still wet, you can take your fingers and swish your hair all over, adding essential oils. Trim your ends to rid split ends that only lead to more brittle hair.

Carrot oil can be used on your hair to replace moisture and revitalize your hair's healthy state. It promotes the development of healthy hair cells. Apply a dime-sized amount to your scalp and gently massage. After massaging through, it is suggested to sit under the dryer to stimulate and allow to penetrate the shafts. Another option is to apply to hair and brush to distribute to ends of hair, paying special attention to split ends. Organic Root Stimulator makes great carrot oil.

Jojoba Oil is a natural plant extract that penetrates and replaces vital moisture to hair. This oil allows your hair to look beautiful and silky without giving you that oily residue that you don't want. Apply this oil after washing and conditioning. You should start seeing results immediately.

Vitamin E oils add moisture as well as promote growth. It also battles dandruff. Massage it into your scalp for healthier and revitalized hair. You can opt to take a Vitamin E supplement for results. Vitamin E is also a remedy for problematic skin.

Jojoba oils are fabulous for replacing oils. It comes from the jojoba plant, which is mainly found in Mexico. You can find products that contain jojoba oils for hair in herbal shoppes and health food stores, mainly. You can also purchase pure jojoba oil from stores specializing in herbal products. This is one of the preffered products for thinning hair and bald spots. Massage the oil directly onto the bald spots each night before bed and wear a satin bonnet.

Rosemary oils are known for replacing what your damaged hair has lost over time due to chemical processing, neglect, and heat. Stay away from rosemary if you are pregnant! People who have lost tremendous amounts of hair due to illness, medication, or alopecia have resorted to rosemary oils and gained desired results. Because of it's pleasant scent, many people use rosemary oils in between shampoos, as well as after them.

As always a good diet consisting of plenty of fruits and vegetables is necessary for healthy, shiny, and thriving hair. If your diet is poor, invest in a good multivitamin to restore vital minerals and nutrients. To retain moisture in your hair, add moisture to your diet by drinking lots of water. Keep these tips in mind, use natural oils, and watch your hair begin to shine because of it.

Lowering High Blood Pressure Through Diet - Change Your Life

Subscribe in a Reader

by Alvin Hopkinson

One of the major contributing factors to high blood pressure is unhealthy eating. Furthermore, modern medical science has discovered that high blood pressure or hypertension is not such a threat alone, yet other factors can lead to long- term consequences. Hypertension often causes heart problems or stroke. Therefore, physicians suggest that you should really consider lowering your high blood pressure through diet.

It has been proven that maintaining a healthy diet helps control high blood pressure. Even as healthy eating is not a remedy for hypertension, it does help you loose weight. Your physician can recommend specific foods that you should avoid or include in your diet.

It is also helpful for you to research foods that greatly affect your blood pressure. Unfortunately, high blood pressure may be your primary health issue, but other problems may arise as a result. Fortunately, a change in your overall lifestyle and diet should address them all.

Elevated blood pressure requires you to make healthier meals while eliminating ingredients that aggravate the disease. Basically, an overall approach to the new lifestyle is to master a healthy eating plan which is allowed to counteract high blood pressure. You must incorporate foods in your diet such as fruits, vegetables and low- fat dairy while simultaneously reducing saturated fat, total fat and cholesterol.

People must realize that processed foods are extremely high in sodium and fat. More so, fast food restaurants are not nutritional in any way. The most common element that contributes to high blood pressure is sodium. Physicians recommend that hypertension sufferers reduce sodium intake to less than 3000mg per day as the average American consumes 7000 to 9000mg daily.

Healthy living is generally associated with a healthy diet. Eating healthy is essentially associated with lowering high blood pressure through diet. Medical science identifies an ideal diet for hypertension is low sodium intake, low saturated fats and cholesterol, high vitamin and antioxidants intake and finally, high potassium and magnesium intake. Calcium is an important nutrient as it is good for the heart and kidneys. The heart requires Calcium to maintain proper rhythm and the kidneys use it to regulate your body's sodium and water intake.

When you are diagnosed with hypertension, which is usually hereditary, doctors often prescribe medication. As medication may reduce risks, changes in lifestyle, specifically a healthy diet along with exercise are extremely instrumental in your overall objective. Your number one goal is to lower you high blood pressure by following all the required guidelines to meet that goal.

Alvin Hopkinson is a leading and avid researcher of various high blood pressure treatments. He runs a content-packed website that provides free tips to lower your hypertension. Grab your FREE HBP Report and visit his site at http://www.minusbloodpressure.com

You may be amongst the many people that just don't get enough exercise in their daily lives. We are increasingly spending more and more time sat in front of computers both at home and in the work place.

The common excuse for not getting enough exercise is lack of time, well when was the last time you sat in front of the TV and watched a 30min soap. Quite often I would have thought. Having your own exercise bike allows you not only to enjoy your favourite soap but get a healthy workout. The modern exercise bike is smooth and quiet; you won't disturb the neighbours with a modern bike. Doing this will go a long way to getting your recommended exercise everyday.

Those that suffer with back problems or knee and joint problems will have no trouble with an exercise bike, especially if you choose a recumbent exercise bike. There is no impact on your joints with an exercise bike, there is enough load to provide a good strengthening workout to your lower body. The recumbent bike is probably easier on the back because of it riding position, the soft padded seat will also prevent saddle soreness.

If you are a fair weather friend, or live in a cold wet climate then the exercise bike will allow you to workout indoors where it is dry and warm. No more battling the elements and getting wet to stay in shape, great during the winter months.

Regular aerobic exercise is excellent for your heart; a regular exercise routine will reduce the risk of heart problems. As more and more people are leading sedentary lives this has to be a good thing.

You cannot go far wrong with choosing an exercise bike for your daily fitness needs; there are bikes available to suit just about all budgets.

Food Routines According to Ayurveda

by Dev Sri

The directions of Ayurveda acharyas on food habits appear to be too tough to follow in present conditions.

Appetite, according to Ayurvedic principles is the mechanism of body to tell the brain that the body needs food. Eating food at the right time will automatically create appetite or hunger at the right times – this is the basis. Man needs to take food only two times a day – in the morning and in the evening. The body requires food only after the taken food is digested.

One will not feel appetite when his mind is disturbed – sadness, anger, fear, etc are negative emotions. Food taking with a disturbed mind doesn't get absorbed by the body. Eating food should be in a pleasant environment, possibly in the presence of family or friends.

Eating the food should be a slow process. Completely chew the food before swallowing. This is needed for good digestion of food. Another thing is not to take cold water with food. A little walk a few minutes after taking food can help in better digestion of the taken food. Don't exert body immediately after taking food. Another thing is to avoid eating for time pass.

Any food that can affect the balance of any of the three doshas of tridosha can be termed a virudhaharam (virudha aharam, virutha aharam, viruthaaharam) or incompatible food. Certain food items when combined together can create reactions. These reactions can sometimes be harmful to health. Food items that cause such reactions are known as incompatible food.

Food and milk, chicken and ghee, etc are examples of incompatible food combination.
Don't forget to download Indocquent's free social bookmark utility at http://www.indocquent.com/social_bookmark/social_bookmark_landingpage.html.
This may not be a serious problem to healthy persons pursuing a continued exercise regimen. However, pregnant women, weak persons, elderly persons and children can be affected by such incompatible combinations. It is necessary to check the nature of food and food combination one takes.

There are also chances for food poisoning. The general symptoms of food poisoning are described in different Ayurvedic texts. Infected meat has blue lines, milk has dark red lines, alcoholic drinks have black and white lines, etc provide quick diagnostic measures of food poisoning.

Excess intake of alcohol can cause serious damages to liver. Too much of sweets and fatty food can affect teeth and can upset stomach. They also affect the health of bones and can cause beauty problems like pimples. Its effect on diabetes is well known to everyone.

The preservatives added to food are also chemicals that can act as poison. Modern researches hint that accumulation of chemicals from such preservatives and additives can even stunt the mental growth of children.

People at the time of origin of Ayurveda, the science of life didn't have to worry much about baked or fried food items. Modern man eats a lot of bakery products like cake, pastries, drink artificial drinks like colas – all these can cause different problems to digestive system, blood, and bones.

All natural apple cider vinegar is a great way to get rid of acne. I am sure you heard of apple cider vinegar but you could be mistaken. This is not your typical apple cider vinegar found in supermarkets, this apple cider vinegar is made from freshly, crushed apples which usually mature in wooden barrels for years, which increases its natural fermentation qualities. It is best to use this type of apple cider vinegar by mixing water to dilute it because it can be very potent. Mixing 2 parts water to every 1 part apple cider is the best rule of thumb. At the first sign of bumps on the face is the best time to apply apple cider vinegar. The best way to apply on face is after dilution, with a Q Tip or cotton ball on the infected area. You will see results within a week! Most people do not like or care of the taste of apple cider vinegar but now it is sold in pill form so there is no excuse for not taking it.

Tea tree oil is another great method of curing acne and has been proven safe for over sixty years. To use tea tree oil in the curable acne form it goes through a process of distilling the leaves of the tea tree species (Melaleuca alternifolia) which can only be found in New South Wales which is off the east coast of Australia. The best quality of tea tree oil comes from this area only, all other oils are mediocre. So when choosing tea tree oil for your acne, please make sure it comes from this area. Terpenes is a bacteria-fighting substance found in tea tree oil and acne is caused by bacteria, so when you mix these two together you got a great cure for acne. The Terpenes weaken or destroy the bacteria by shielding antibodies. To use tea tree oil it is best to apply a drop or two of pure, undiluted tea tree oil to affected acne areas of the skin.

Orange Peels couldn’t possibly cure acne could they? Oh yeah they do, and they do it well! Simply grind orange peels in water to create a paste. Apply on and around pimples. Homemade acne treatment with orange peels has been found extremely effective and is another great acne treatment that will not harm your face.

6 foods & supplements that pack on muscle mass fast

by Tommy Elliot

  • 1. Protein shakes: It'll probably be inconvenient for you to "eat something" like a can of tuna for protein 6 times a day so... You can save yourself the trouble by drinking protein shakes.

by Michael Blair

High blood pressure (aka hypertension) is that often there are now symptoms. All too often the only symptom is having a heart attack, that's why a common nickname is the "silent killer".

Knowing what could cause high blood pressure and taking the steps to reduce the risks is one of the best ways to treating hypertension.

A big one is salt. It's in most everything you eat or drink so you need to carefully read the labels of the cans and boxes your food comes in. If you cook and eat mostly fresh food you have less to worry about, just do your best not to add to much as you cook.

Drinking alcohol, in anything more than moderation, besides other health problems, can play a part in raising your blood pressure. More and more reports are telling us that drinking one glass of wine actually is beneficial in lowering your blood pressure, the "key" to those studies are "one glass", more than that does not help, in fact it hurts you.

Most everyone knows it, but the "pill" also increases the risk that you will have high blood pressure. Women who take the "pill" should be regularly, once or twice each year, having their blood pressure tested.

While less common, different illnesses or health conditions (even pregnancy), medications, and street drugs.

Natural Hair Loss Treatment: Can You really Stop The Inevitable?

by Paul Courtney

We all marvel at those who have amazingly thick glorious locks of hair that is full of body and bounce. The reality is that a large percentage of us will inevitably find our hair line receeding at various rates of knots until we are left with at best tufts of hair around our ears and the back of our heads leaving a somewhat shiny bald scalp that gets easily sun burnt and suffers from the cold of winter. Not to mention that most of us perceive we are less attractive to the opposite sex .

What Causes Hair Loss?

Hair Loss occurs predominantly because of your genetic makeup, if either side of your family suffers from hair loss there is a strong likelihood that you will follow suit.

Hair loss can also occur as a result of stress, medication, birth control, sickness, and even hormonal issues. For example, hormonal changes can cause Dihydrotestoteron (DHT) to increase this is Known to cause indirectly a degeneration of the hair roots.

If you are suffering from hair loss, consider turning to natural hair loss treatments.

The use of these treatments is to increase your overall health and vitality. Using natural hair loss treatment products will help restore the balance of health in your body and you will be amazed at how that can restore your hair.

Natural Hair Loss Treatments Include Supplements

The use of chemical based shampoos and other treatments can further enhance your hair loss Rather than slathering your scalp with these chemicals in the hope of restoring your former locks, turn to natural hair loss treatments that include oral vitamin and mineral supplements. When you add the right supplements to your diet, you will see a difference in your hair. Consider natural hair loss treatments that include PABA, Zinc, Ginger, and Magnesium. If you take zinc, you may also need to supplement copper as well. Recent studies show that when zinc and copper are out of balance in your body, it can actually cause hair loss to occur.

Another natural hair loss treatment is applying the inner gel like substance from the aloe vera plant which has been used over the centuries as a topical solution for skin care and is known to contain many of the natural vitamins, minerals enzymes and elements that contribute to healthy skin and hair.

Topical products containing Oleamic Acid, from the leaves of the olive tree stops the influence of Dihydrotestosteron (DHT) and Apigenin, harvested from citrus fruits enhances the blood flow to the roots of the hair. The combination of these two ingredience is designed to encourage hair groth.

Taking a good vitamin and mineral supplement is a step in the right direction when it comes to natural hair loss treatments. Naturally it is also important to eat a well balanced diet. Stick to a good balance of protein and carbohydrates and avoid high fat and processed foods.

Your hair is a protein, so eating a diet rich in protein can help to keep it healthy. Some studies indicate that people who do not consume enough protein can have iron deficiencies, which can also lead to hair loss.

Of course there are many other natural hair loss treatments whose advocates swear by homemade remedies that stimulate the scalp. Some homemade cures include adding a bit of cider vinegar to your shampoo, having frequent scalp massages, and using heat to stimulate the follicles.

Have any of these treatments been scientifically proven? Without a doubt some of these natural hair loss treatments do logically increase the likelihood of stronger hair growth but nothing definitive has yet been proven.
